English Reading Program
The English Reading Program uses the BBC Earth Magazine and aims to equip Secondary school students with essential aural-oral, vocabulary building, reading, information gathering skills; especially grammar, sentence structure, subject-verb agreement and pronunciation. The class will be taught by the BBC Earth Editor-in-Chief Cheryl Tay.
Lesson Objectives:
- Improve student’s language accuracy
- Widen their vocabulary
- Acquire self-evaluation and reading skills that encourage independent learning
- Gain skills to communicate clearly and confidently with purpose and audience in mind
Dates:
Each course will be 10 sessions long and each session will last for 1 hour.
