It explores the themes of friendship, their love for nature and the power of kindness through an Asian tale of a little girl’s grit and dedication to her family, showing how one’s life may be transformed and richly rewarded from living a life of simplicity to a life beyond one’s wildest imagination.

Josiah is a budding young author. His first foray into competition writing was an academic piece which he wrote when he was just 12 (being one of the youngest contenders) which he also attained a scholarship to a UK Summer School at Cambridge in August 2020 but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation. He loves to explore different themes of writing drawing from his own personal life experiences to evoke in his readers a love for reading, writing and for the nature too. Josiah is passionate to be around nature. He is especially interested in the Nepenthes species (commonly known as the monkey cup) of carnivorous plants. His love and interests were inculcated by his dad and both of them have a diverse collection of different species of Nepenthes plants from all over the world in their own private garden.
